South of Munich in the small town of Straßlach is the location of this outstanding restaurant, with a tradition of over 100 years and many well earned awards. The upscale “Gasthof zum Wildpark” is decorated in the rustic alpine style and includes a large partially heated beer garden. You can find pictures on their website at www.roiderer.de (German language only). The restaurant is supplied by their own meat market which offers a wide variety of local specialties.

The boss here is the host of the Hacker–Festzelt which is one of the nicest beer tents at the original Oktoberfest in Munich.

This restaurant was reviewed and rated by our Bavarian contributor H.-G. as upscale and excellent. Looking at their online menu I would consider the prices as still affordable.
